The speech focused on the Humanities-oriented part of SDG 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. TAISE invited professor at National Taiwan University, the executive director of the Asian Corporate Governance Association, and the vice chairman of the United Nations Center for Trade Facilitation and E-commerce and others, to discuss about how SDGs influence people's life and the wider society.
After the UN Climate Action Summit- New Business Opportunities for Climate Change
Deloitte invited Head of Deloitte Asia Pacific Sustainability Services, MaiCoin General Manager and Co-Founder of Sunnyfounder, to provide business opportunities about climate change brought up from 2019 Conference of Parties.
ASIA-Pacific low emission city forum: from smart energy to sustainable development
Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) East Asia ICLEI Kaohsiung Capacity Center cooperated with Dept. Of international Cooperation, M.O.E.A. to invite speakers from the Philippines, Mongolia and other Asia Countries who dedicated to low carbon emission to share how cities in Asia Pacific took advantages of smart energy and move towards sustainable development.
A deep dive into ESG investing
Asia Pacific Executive Director and Head of China research and Greater China Senior Consultant of MSCI spoke about how to apply ESG on investment and the influence of the behaviors. Professionals from Cathay Life Insurance, Mercer Hong Kong were also invited to provide their viewpoints.
Sustainability and Innovation Forum for Semiconductor Supply Chain
Taiwan Alliance for Sustainable Supply (TASS) actively implement UN SDGs. Speakers from MediaTek Inc., ASE Technology, Unimicron, BSI, and I-SHOU University were invited to discuss about sustainable supply chain in the semiconductor industry, promoting knowledge exchange about sustainable development in the technology industry.
bsi - International Sustainablity Standards Annual Summit
BSI Taiwan held its annual summit opened by BSI Regional Director of Northeast Asia, whom indicated that the transformation of global trend can start from the development and modification of international standards. The summit invited government representatives and corporate management to share about the sustainability topic focus by different industry from a diverse perspective.
Build up climate sustainability through partnerships
ESTC invited 2 major assurance service providers, SGS and DNV GL, along with notable sustainable corporation, ASUS, to discover the influence by companies, and how cross discipline climate action frameworks can be built, producing an efficient integration.
Managing links between university development and SDGs
Green University Union of Taiwan (GUUT) focuses on sustainable development of Taiwan, environment protection, as well as educating students and the wider society. The workshop gathered presidents and vice presidents of universities of GUUT member universities to speak about development on campus and how they link to SDGs, promotion of university social responsibilities (USR), Higher Education Sprout Project and many other programs in sustainable development education.
Sustainable Model Corporate World Café
The "2019 Sustainability World Café " co-hosted between TAISE, Center for Corporate Sustainability, and Unity Sustainability Services. The dialogue focuses on outstanding sustainability corporations and their sustainability programs linked to SDGs. Corporate sustainability experts were gathered to discuss with participants aiming to formulate CSR strategies and focus for different industries.
Keynote Speech and Paper Presentation - Actions for Corporate Sustainability
The seminar gathered 8 experts including the Dean of the Faculty of Management at Laurentian University to analyze the roles and actions played by academics and industry, while providing comments on responsive strategies.
The magic to know more about CSR with branding
Companies have gradually branded CSR in recent years which increases their influence while creating business value. CSRone, the largest database of sustainability reports in Taiwan, invited signature advertisers to analyze the relationship between CSR and corporate brands.
The Next Low Carbon and Sustainability Trends: Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures
In response to Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) related policies proposed by Financial Stability Board (FSB) . EY Taiwan invited well-known professionals to share about TCFD development trends and practices, to jointly promote sustainable financial and governance environment.
DJSI x Sustainable Finance
Sustainability assessment and sustainable finance has become a popular topics worldwide in recent years. PwC Taiwan Sustainability Services invited grading agency of DJSI -RobecoSAM AG, PwC Australia Risk Advisory, Yuanta Funds, and representatives from Taiwan technology industry to explore the performance of sustainable finance in various industries.
