
The alliance for Sustainable Development Goals (A‧SDGs) first established the Global Corporate Sustainability Forum (GCSF) in 2018 to support the actions taken by global society and corporations working towards United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Paris Agreement. The first GCSF had over 2,100 participants from over 10 countries. This event not only allowed Taiwan to network with the global society, understand the global trend, but also promote cross boarder discussion and collaborations, which implements sustainable concepts and grasp business opportunities.
The 2019 GSCF will expand in scope, the key highlights of the forum includes: GCSF keynote speeches and outstanding cases sharing along with Global Corporate Sustainability Awards (GCSA) ceremony. Three major accounting firms worldwide will hold workshops including Deloitte Taiwan, EY Taiwan, PwC Taiwan. Furthermore, workshops will also be held by ICLEI- Local Governments for Sustainability (whom works closely with the United nations), BSI Taiwan, Taiwan Association of Sustainable Supply Chain (TASS), MSCI, Environmental Science Technology Consultants Corporations, and many others. A total of 15 workshops are planned along with the forum.
The organizers hold Global Corporate Sustainability Awards (GCSA to proactively encourage and promote global business sustainable competitiveness, gather outstanding corporations, and ultimately build a knowledge exchange platform for global sustainable developments. GCSA registration opens on May 13 on the official website (www.globalcsforum.com) and the event details will be published on the same day. Besides the GCSA awards for professional and reporting, Best Practice is a new award category, we welcome participations from local and global corporations to achieve those awards, GCSA allows corporations to present their success in sustainable management and results.
